Maintenance Associate

Varstaff is currently searching for the following:


 The Maintenance Associate is responsible to perform maintenance activities per the Maintenance Program and ensure on-time delivery of equipment in accordance with operational demand. The Maintenance Associate supports initiatives to improve the maintenance-related Cost of Service Delivery (CoSD), Maintenance Efficiency, People Productivity, and Asset Availability within the Center of Reliability and Efficiency (CRE) or Maintenance Base (MB), or Maintenance Center. * Under direct supervision of either a Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Technician, perform assigned higher-level maintenance activities.* Adhere to transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems, accurately capturing maintenance related data.* Comply with Schlumberger and respective division TLM standards.* Maintain and build competency in compliance with the TLM Competency Management System.* Participate in and support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
• Build production trees for oilfield operations.
• Use cranes to move heavy valves and bolt them into configurations.
• Operate hydraulic torque wrenches, air impact wrenches, and manual torque wrenches.
• Participate in hose cleanup and organization (forklift used for heavy lifting).

Experience & Skills
• Years of Experience: No minimum required; experience is a plus.
• Top 3 Skills:
1. Ability to work well with others.
2. Mechanical aptitude.
3. Physical strength for handling large wrenches and hoses.
• Preferred Experience:
o Hydraulic torque equipment, air impact wrenches.
o Hydraulic test bays.
o Painting experience (future need).
o Small diesel engine repair (bonus).

Safety
• PPE:
o Steel-toe boots required, preferably provided by the contractor.
o Company provides coveralls, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves.

Shift/Hours
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM start.
• Typical Day:
o 8-hour day ends ~1:30 PM.
o 10-hour day ends ~3:30 PM (common).

Interview Process
• In-person interviews.
• Includes facility tour (PPE provided for visitors).

Education Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
