Varstaff is looking for a Tool Crib Assistant II

About the Job

In this role, you will manage, issue, and store tools, machine fixtures, dies, and measuring devices. You will keep our equipment clean, oiled, and in good repair, track extra or old inventory, and make sure all tools are safe and ready for work operations.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma / GED plus 2+ years of related experience (Higher degrees or equivalent experience can replace this requirement).

Skills

• Must-Have: Basic knowledge of using, maintaining, and fixing hand and power tools.

• Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with TCMax Asset Management Suite

  • Background in Aerospace/Defense, the Department of Defense (DoD), or the US Military

Physical Requirements & Working Environment

• Physical: Frequently walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, and using hand/finger motions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Sensory: Strong vision (color vision, depth perception) and hearing (discerning tones/volumes) required.

• Environment: Frequent exposure to loud noise. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather, fumes, or hazardous materials.

• Safety Sensitive: You will handle equipment inspection, hazardous materials, and heavy machinery safely.
