About the Job:

In this role, you will execute the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for direct materials and services at Blue Origin, with a specialized focus on standard Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, discrete electronic components, and aerospace-related hardware. You will process purchase requisitions into POs, issue RFQs/RFPs, perform competitive bid analyses, and execute supplier pricing and terms negotiations. Partnering with engineering and quality teams, you will manage post-award supplier performance, maintain On-Time Delivery (OTD), and navigate strict aerospace compliance and traceability standards.

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 5+ years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in a direct buying capacity.

  • Demonstrated experience procuring COTS products, discrete electronic components, and electronics hardware.

  • Hands-on proficiency with enterprise ERP and procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).

Must-Have Skills

  • Direct & COTS Sourcing: Full procurement lifecycle execution for direct materials, catalog buying standardization, discrete electronics, and COTS distributor management.

  • RFQs, RFPs & Negotiations: Skilled in issuing solicitations, conducting competitive cost/bid evaluations, and negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions to drive cost savings.

  • Post-Award Supplier Management: Proven capability tracking supplier commitment schedules, maintaining On-Time Delivery (OTD), and resolving invoice/delivery/quality issues.

  • Compliance & Recordkeeping: Ability to maintain audit-ready procurement files in adherence to company policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory standards.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)

  • Procurement experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Familiarity with aerospace quality standards, compliance requirements, and strategic category management.

  • Hands-on experience with Coupa and Costpoint ERP systems.

  • Professional procurement certifications (e.g., CPM, CPSM, or equivalent).
