Job Description
As an Avionics Technician IV, you will perform avionics maintenance, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of moderately complex avionics components in accordance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations. You will also maintain test equipment, tools, and manuals while ensuring compliance with safety and security standards in an aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities

Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair moderately complex avionics components.

Maintain test equipment, tools, and technical manuals.

Route wires according to technical drawings and blueprints.

Inspect structures, equipment, or vehicles, and handle or transport dangerous/hazardous materials.

Operate or supervise vehicles, heavy machinery, or dangerous equipment safely.
Minimum Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED equivalent with typically 10 or more years of relevant experience (higher degree or related experience may substitute).

Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring installation, wiring repair, soldering, and crimping techniques.

Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.

Must have own tools in good working order.

Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, perform repetitive hand/arm movements, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in environments with outdoor elements, loud noises, and exposure to fumes or hazardous materials.
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with FCC regulations and FCC GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License).

Basic understanding of spectrometers, oscilloscopes, and/or Pitot-static test equipment.

Ability to mentor and guide subordinate technicians.

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance if required.
