Sr. Process Improvement Manager

Varstaff is looking for a Sr. Process Improvement Manager (part-time contract) in Sparks, NV

About the Job: Drive the implementation, communication, training and auditing of company and industry best practices for a major aerospace and defense company. Partner with business-area and functional leadership to develop, deploy and execute process improvements that support lean, efficient and successful operations. This is a part-time onsite contract (about 16 hours per week, 4 hours a day, 4 days a week) through 12/31/2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and execute process improvements with business-area and functional leadership.
• Implement meaningful metrics that drive continuous improvement and solve strategic issues.
• Coordinate and lead internal and external audit and appraisal processes and share the results.
• Train teams on and audit adherence to company and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
• Typically 6-8 years of relevant process improvement experience.
• Current Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification (or willing to immediately begin attaining it).
• Experience with continuous improvement, strategic problem solving and internal/external audits and appraisals.
• Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 and CMMI process standards.
• Experience with program management processes, standards and certification.
