Varstaff is looking for a Material Handler I - D Shift at Rocket Park (LC36), Merritt Island, FL

About the Job: Play a crucial part in fulfillment center operations at the Rocket Park (LC36) facility for a private space company. You will receive and inspect shipments, manage inventory, operate forklifts and other PIT equipment and keep accurate records in the inventory management system. LC36 is an active construction site, so a safety-first mindset is essential.
Shift: D Shift, Friday-Sunday, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Location: LC36 (Rocket Park). DBIDS badge required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload, visually inspect and receive shipments per standard operating procedures.
  • Perform quality control checks, document receipts and enter data in the inventory management tool.
  • Operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, reach-trucks and turret-trucks to move heavy parts and material.
  • Package, sort, stage, label and store parts; audit storage locations per SOP.
  • Identify and escalate roadblocks and support root-cause analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of fulfillment center operations experience including receiving and inventory functions.
  • Previous certified forklift experience (required).
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and strictly follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DBIDS badge.
  • Strong attention to detail, math, analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Warehouse, receiving or inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry.
